Thomas Conductor's Shed 75% Off

I went to Michaels yesterday (in Virginia) and the Thomas COnductors Shed was on clearance for $9 from $18, and then I was able to use the 50% off coupon to get it for $4.50. The 50% off coupon was only good Sunday and Monday, but you can still use the 40% and buy it for $5.40-still a great deal. The only other piece I saw on clearance was the Paint and Play Thomas, which my guy is too young for. I'm going about once a month to pick up Thomas trains for bithday and Christmas.

I'm surprised they let you use the coupon...it is usually not applicable to sale items. Was this a special coupon?

I was also allowed to use the coupon - I think it was because it was on clearance, not on "sale." There were about 5 Thomas things on clearance, but only one was in stock at my Michaels. Someone else might hit the jackpot at their Michaels.

I saw this at my local Michaels, but they would not let me use the coupon since it was on clearance.
