Whenever I am looking through my catalogs, I always
notice the props!

I actually called "Growing Up with Garnet Hill" catalog
to order something and I was told it was a prop!

Many times, I get out my magnifying glass to read the
book titles on the bookshelves.
That is how I discovered the "My Book House" set! :)
I saw them sitting on a bookshelf in the Pottery Barn Kids
catalog.

Hi Beth and Corie!

You guys are so cool! I have found some wonderful things too from looking at the PBK catalogue! :) I'd like to know about some of your other finds as well! Maybe we can start up somthing....

I was wondering if you guys know where I can get these blue pots and pans. These are exactly what I've been looking for. Anyone know the manufacture or a similar cooking set? They do look like a PBK product but they aren't selling them. Maybe for Christmas?

Corie-Tell me about the My Book House set....

Great minds think a like! :)

Rebekah,

I saw these books on a bookshelf featured in Pottery
Barn Kids catalog. So, I did a search for them.
Found out that they are out-of-print.

I bought a set from Ebay that was printed in 1971.
Then, I found another set at Half Price Books also printed
in 1971. I totally got lucky that day.
(I found a few other books that I have been searching for.)
The set at Half Price Books was
in fabulous condition and they were priced at $2.00 a book.
So cheap!
Now, each of my kids will have their own set to read and
save.

Here is a set for sale on Ebay. This is what I have
and this is what was pictured in the PBK catalog.

Corie,

Thank you so much for all the info! :)

I was reading a little about the description and was wondering how they are working out for you. What do you like about them and do you or DC have any favorite stories?

TIA

Oh! My Book House!!! I actually have my mom's set from when she was a little girl - I used to read them at my grandmother's house - They were a big favorite. I loved "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" the best. I'm not 100% certain, but I think that my favorite volume of stories was called "Through the Garden Gate." (Although I'm not sure if your set has the same volume names). They are such classic, wonderful stories!

I realized I'm spending too much time on the boards when I also spotted the Holztiger dinosaurs in the PBK catalog. :)

I noticed on p. 52 and 53 there are some Holztiger dinos (we have the ones pictured). Obviously just props, but I thought it was kind of cool ;)

Not the most exciting news but I had to share.

IKEA has pans like that, but they are darker blue.

the little white chair in the background.
