Nilo as art, eating table??

Can you use the Nilo multi-activity table for arts/crafts and eating or does the lip get in the way. DH agrees that it may be a better purchase than a set from ikea. Or, do you need to have 2 tables, one for play and one for arts/eating at? If we get the Nilo table, DH wants to use the ikea mamutt chairs - he likes the playfulness of the design - would these chairs fit under the smaller Nilo table?

Also, we were thinking of getting the smaller table - we couldn't fit the larger one in the family room or in his room - will I regret not getting the large table, I could move furniture to make it work?

We are only getting the small Nilo table. We just don't have the room for the larger table. When we move the crib out of DD's room, I may put a small table in there then. But in the meantime, the Nilo one will simply have to do both. Nilo does sell an easel attachment for the table called a "Theasel". Honestly, kids are so adaptable that it probably won't bother them in the least.
