My 9-mo old *loves* to lick our vinyl flooring. I am trying to keep it cleaner than usual, but I'm not sure what floor cleansers are baby-safe. I'm currently using Clorox ready-mop spray solution and pads. Any ideas?

I'd go with a simple vinegar and water solution. Anything like Clorox has chemicals in it, which may be okay if you rinse it down well with water afterwards, but there is definitely an unknown factor vs. vinegar (which is not toxic).

pampers makes an all around cleaner that is kid-safe. i don't know how well it will clean floors though. i use it on the high chair, swing & walker tray...anywhere i may put snacks or food.

I haven't tried vinegar but clean my floors with a solution of water and Ivory dishwashing liquid. I'm sure it's not as safe as vinegar but imagine it's much less toxic than any commercial floor cleaners.

Dr. Bronner's makes a product called Sal Suds that works as a floor and all-purpose cleaner. It's totally plant based, I believe. You can buy it at most health food stores and some major supermarkets as well. It's what we use on our floors (and most everywhere else).
