We just bought one of these for our son last night at the store. It's a Christmas one and he is in LOVE with it! He received a set of dollar store flip tab style books (they were bible ones) that he absolutely destroyed, so I was a little leery. I don't know if it's because it's well made (compared to the dollar store books) or if he's just gotten older, but he's being *very* careful with the tabs, which is a lot to ask from my all-boy son. Just thought I'd pass it along in case anyone else is interested in something like that ... we got it from Target for $8 or $9. :)

Kayla is getting two for Christmas...we love them! They are also my favorite thing to bring along on plane rides...keeps 'em busy for quite a while!

I just got one at Costco. I think it was only $6 or so!

Are these the ones you're talking about?

They're really cheap at bookcloseouts right now. DS has one that he loves so I just ordered the school bus one for him for Christmas.

Holy Moly! That's a great price! I got mine for 50% off at Kohls, but they were still over $4.
$1.99 is an awesome price!

I guess I got rooked! :( Thanks so much for the link though ... I have a ton of stuff in my cart (including the two flip tab books they have) for less than $10!! I hope the shipping isn't outrageous ... I haven't gotten that far!

If anyone has a close Building 19, these books were in their latest flyer for somewhere around $2 (I think $1.99 to $2.99).

I ordered just after Thanksgiving (and got 3 flip books), did the Standard Shipping, and got the box exactly 1 week later. A friend of mine had the same experience. Just wanted to share the shipping I had...

Also wanted to point out that since they are closeouts, some of the books have a black mark on them. Just letting you know in case you were thinking about giving them as gifts.

Nope, they're all for my son or for me. I wound up with 26 books for around $50 shipped (including four for me, one was "What to Expect ... the Toddler Years, which was $9, one true crime book for $3, a toddler discipline book for $1, and a Baby Blues comic book for $4 ... the rest were sticker books, 2 flip tab books and a bunch of children's books for Easter and Valentine's Day). Thanks for the heads up though. I have this site bookmarked and signed up for their newsletter, so I might have bought some for gifts eventually. :)

I didn't see this post or I would have told you to use the code bookcloseouts and the password bargainbooks for $5 off a $35 purchase! It expires Dec 31.

ETS: Oops, I just saw that there's already a thread with the coupon code. Hopefully you used it alreayd! :)
