DUMB question - Plan City packaging??

Okay, this is really dumb...but is there some purpose for the little wooden blocks that come with the Plan City small vehicles? I just ordered three sets (police and taxi, a school bus, and an airplane and pilot) and the vehicles are really cute. I just don't know what the wood blocks that were the sides of the package are for, if anything. They seem to be so nice, maybe they go with one of the Plan City sets? Seems to be such a waste if they don't have a purpose.

Good idea! DS is getting a set of Barclay blocks for Christmas so I'll just throw them in there. The wood is too nice to just trash. I guess "we" have been so into matchbox cars and trains, I'll could think about was roadway and train tracks!

Are they just free 'buildings', maybe? Plan toys are so nicely open ended, maybe they just don't put any building print on them...? Either way, score! free blocks! lol

I don't have any answers, but I must say that I am intrigued. I hope we find out the true reason for the extra blocks!!
