A friend of mine who lives in London has asked for suggestions on a belated gift for DS' 2nd birthday and while I gave her general category ideas (puzzles, arts and crafts, interactive toys) I was wondering if there are any UK specific toys that pp love. Don't know the price range, but we are reasonably generous with each other :), probably $25-$50.

If you have any issues (or threat of future issues) with wake up time, I'd say a bunny clock. Not availabe here, but I'm DYING for one. My DD thinks any time from about 4:30 on is fair game for getting up! I keep hoping someone here will sell them...

Thank you for the idea, ladies, but I feel like Bunny Clock would be more of a gift for me rather than DS. Plus since DS still sleeps in a crib in our only bedroom it is not too much trouble to get him back to sleep. I might consider this clock for when he is in a toddler bed though. Guess I'll have to rely on my childless friend's idea of what an interactive toy is ;), we'll see how it goes. Hopefully she'll get good advice at the store.

Can I ask what the cost was with shipping to the states in dollars? I would love to get one for my twins when we take the gate off their door and let them go to the potty at night instead of wearing diapers.

Thanks.

How about Paddington Bear?

or something else from Hamley's own brand?

I just looked up the prices on the website. Using today's currency conversion, the shipping would be $13.84. The clock + shipping is $48.45.

OK, can she buy ME a bunny clock, and looks like Corie too, and we'll reimburse her?

Kidding...
