Has anyone seen this set available in stores?

I live in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St.Paul,MN) area
and I am looking to get DD this set for her kitchen,
which is still on it's way.

I've seen it IRL at a toy store. It was nice but seemed pretty sparse for the price, IMO. We went with the Costco set instead because you get way more pieces for the money. It is very cute though and I love the color of the red potholder and mitt.

Thanks for your response.
I am considering this set because I think it's the same one they
sell @ Land of Nod ( http://tinyurl.com/cu9c4) and I didn't want
too many pieces. Also, I was looking for something with red
accents rather than pink.

I am wondering if the costco set is the same pots as this set:

I was hoping that the Alex set would be more sturdy than the Junior Chef Stainless Steel Cookware Set.

Anyone with IRL experince on this set??
TIA!!!!

I've never seen the Alex Toys set IRL, but I have seen the Junior Chef set. I actually purchased the Junior Chef Stainless Steel Cookware Set at Marshalls. But I ended up finding the Costco set so I took the Junior Chef set back. So I can't speak on the quality of it because I never opened the box. The pieces are quite smaller in the Junior Chef set, but it comes with more utensils. The Costco set came with large pot and lid, a small pot and lid, a skillet, colander, spatula, whisk, soup ladle, little "tupperware" bowls and a pot holder and apron. And they were about the same price.

Edited to make more sense. I was holding DD while typing. I came back and read it and didn't know what I was talking about :P

They sell it at a toy store called Thinker Toys here in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Probably not much help to you. :)

I bought two alex sets at Ross. They are different from the ones you pictured though. One has several pots and pans, utensils, and potholders. The other is more of a baking set and includes shaped cake pans, cookie cutters, measuring spoons, a crimping thing, etc. We don't have costco here, so I can't compare, but I've been pleased with what we have. They were $10-12 each at ross, I think. HTH!

Thanks Sherri! Unfortunately we don't have Ross stores here in Minnesota. :( We do have Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx and Marshall's here. I haven't seen this set at any of those stores yet, but that doesn't mean they can't be found at one of the stores I haven't been to. Unfortunately, I doubt that the CS at any of these sotres would actually go look in their stock for this item, even if I did call around and ask. I also looked at TRU with no luck. <Sigh!> I may just have to order what I want. I'm still up for any store suggestions though...
