I am very intrigued by this life-sized construction toy, but I couldn't find any mention of it on this board. You can get one of the Quadro kits for $250-350 and build a kitchen, playstand, little house, climbing structure, puppet theater, fort, furniture, or indoor playground. So many possibilities. Plus, you can get a set with wheels and build different vehicles.

I am considering getting a good-size Quadro kit and a set of playsilks to decorate it with instead of spending my money on a numerous furniture pieces with one function only, like a kitchen and a puppet theater and a playstand and so on. I know it's plastic, and I don't want to encroach on the sacred territory of the wooden kitchen/playstand lovers, but I've seen Quadro in real life, and can't stop thinking about all the open-ended ways one can play with it.

Here is the page with the photographs of the different kits:

Quadro is made in Germany and is distributed in the US by Construction Toys:

and Phunzone:

Also, Phunzone sells one kit on Ebay now at a discount.

What do you think? Here are a few photos:

That is seriously cool!!! In my book, open ended play and lots of alternate uses trumps concerns about plastic any day.
