Aww...Kaya likes her pillow!

So we got one of those roll pillows from Ikea thinking it was nice and firm (and therefore not a smothering hazard) and put it in Kaya's crib. But although she initially hugged it, she didn't really use it because it was too high for her. So during the Great Diaper Hunt, I came across a site that happened to have a cute girly pillow:

When it arrived, she hugged it and said, "Pillow!" Anyway, I put it in her crib and initially, she would hug it and lie on it briefly and then creep down for the rest of the night. But lately, I've noticed that she really likes lying on it when she's napping (I haven't particularly noticed for night time). It's so sweet to see her cuddling up on it. :)

Oh! That is so sweet! Mari has a toddler pillow as her lovey. She brought it home from Guatemala and from the pictures of her at her foster mamas, it seems she has used one since day 1. LOL!

At what age do they start using pillows? My DS is 1.5 and he can't even cover himself with the blanket. He sleeps with his teddy bears, constantly moving in his crib. I can't even imagine him lying still in one side of the crib with his head on the pillow.

Well, Kaya just started recently, so 22 months? She doesn't always stay on it with her head, but I definitely find her doing it during the night and she does (at least the last two days) use it during her nap. And no, we're not using a blanket until she moves to a bed.

Yea, it's just one of those things that makes me laugh because if we had her all the time I would not have let her have the pillow! It's another one of those things that I would have worried about, had I known about it!

She sleeps on it some and cuddles with it too. It's so adorable when they are laying on the pillow!
