I am thinking of getting one for my son as he loves playing kitchen at school and his birthday is comming up. Just wondering if anyone has seen one on sale recently.

Thanks,

Jessica.

Here are a couple "clearance" items, but you should still price compare with other stores. Good luck on your quest for the kitchen :)

Have you seen the new wooden kitchen set at Target? Its a brand new line. From what I remember, it was around $80 and a good neutral color (blue?). It was very cute!

I just saw it today! It's adorable. Now I'm having buyer's remorse about the one we actually got DD. The one at Target has lots and lots more stuff!

It is $80! DH and I loved it, and had to restrain ourselves from buying it yesterday. I think we'll buy it in the next couple of weeks--when DD #2 arrives, so DD #1 will have a fun distraction, LOL!

The one at Target is so cute, that I found myself trying to justify a second kitchen (my Dad made on for DD this fall). I almost wish I had seen it sooner. For the price, it looks like a great kitchen.

I am so close to buying it. We also have one we made, but I just love the look of this one!

I saw it and I love it as well!! Wish we had bought those from Babystyle.com when on sale.

It comes with a sink (a stainless bowl/basin) which for us would have been a plus. The same line also comes with frying pans, pots, cooking utensils. They all look so realistic and adorable. Also blenders, food, etc. Could someone please post a picture if you have the Target kitchen and accesories in its full glory? So I can live vicariously. Lol

Does anyone know what the quality of the one from Target is like? Will it stand up to 2 toddlers playing with it? Or am I better off getting something more expensive that will last a lot longer? And are they available in store or online only? We have a supper target near by that I could go to see if they have it.

Thanks, Jessica.

I saw it in the actual store. It was too crowded to actually touch it, but it *appeared* to be pretty solid. Honestly, I'm thinking of Ebaying mine, er DD's, and getting that one instead.

They have a model on display, so I inspected it today. It seems really well made. I am guessing it is made by Battat, but I didn't really look at the box, just noticed that is who made some of the accessories that fell into my cart. :).

We have a wooden toolbench I picked up a few years ago from Target and it has help up wonderfully. I am hoping this is a good indicator of the quality.

Noticed this one in a flyer I got from Constructive Playthings:

http://www.cptoys.com/cgi-bin/cptoys_cgi.sh/WService=cptoys/cptoys.com/school/product.htm?stateInfo=aicdXQjBjxljRlbj8882|2&dept_id=637&pf_id=XX-6921&parent_id=999

Not sure how it compares to others! Good luck!

ETA: The link is too long and it won't let me copy the whole thing, but it works if you copy and paste it into your browser. Sorry!

I can't see the picture, but I think it's the one that I bought my daughter for Christmas and I LOVE IT! It's an island kitchen, but a lot bigger than the Target one--taller, I guess. My DD needs to grow just a little bit to be able to reach the microwave and stainless steel hooks. It is all wood and very well built. On sale for $199, I believe.

I couldn't get the construction playthings picture to come up either, but we got the same island (from construction playthings) as described above for DS on Christmas and I really like it! Very cute in appearance and very well built.

I had purchased a kidcraft island, and returned it for this one, I think I paid $150 just before Christmas. Haven't seen the Target one so I don't know how it compares.

Is this the one Target currently has?

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-5837411-5246513?%5Fencoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000BKEMTO

I actually saw one like this on clearance at my target for $69. Maybe they changed the box or something. Anyhow, I'm kind of wishing I picked it up.

eta: Looks like Target is selling a different brand now:

Anyways, I was able to get the Battat one today for $25. Psyche.

This one is different from what I saw. Maybe they have more than 1 model? The one I saw has two burners and a sink next to it. This one through the link looks just as nice though.

Oh wow, that is really cool. My Target does not have any kitchens so i don't know if it is the same one everyone is talking about.

I was also browsing the page in the "similar items" category and they have tons of cute stuff to go in the kitchen on-line. My Target has none of this! I'm going to have to check out some other ones next time I am in another town! Great stuff!

Not a sale, but Walmart.com has the Kidkraft kitchen for $137.22. I did a quick search and that looks like a really good price.

Thanks, Has anyone seen this item with free shipping? The shipping on this one was $42 which made the price $180. Also what happened to the blue and white one that Learning Express sold? Do they still sell it? Or is it available any where else in more boyish colors?

Thanks,

Jessica.
