Has anyone ever heard of or seen a toy typewriter? My two year old son loves anything with buttons(my keyboard, calculator, the shop-vac, ...). He has also become interested in typing from the book "Click, Clack, Moo - Cows that type." I have an old keyboard that he can use but it is somewhat big. I would love something wooden with buttons that he can push.

I have a feeling this will be like finding a toy record player...

A google of "toy typewriter" only came up with vintage toy sites and typewriter museums. :-)

I agree. I did a google search too, and found all the vintage sites. Seems like cash registers are available as "toys" but not typewriters. DS LOVES pushing buttons so I would love to find him one (he calls things with similar buttons "typers" and makes the cutest little animated typing movements with sound effects - toddlers are so funny!) Maybe some kind of toy computer (that doesn't have electronic noise??).
