I would like to try to find a doll for my son who is almost 18 months old. I really don't want to go the Cabbage Patch doll route, or anything else plastic-feeling. I like the Waldorf dolls, but I was hopding for something a little less pricey since I want this to be a real "drag-around" kind of item. Pottery Barn has the "Christopher" doll as an option, but I was wondering if there are any others...

Thanks for your help!

Jen,

I bought my dd a Furnis doll from Oompa for Christmas. She doesn't play with it, but that isn't the dolls fault, LOL! She just prefers stuffed animals. It is cute and really well made. They make several boy versions. Here is a link:

I got my 2-year old son (also named Owen) Brio's Zack doll. It's really cute and he can also take off the hat and jacket. It was inexpensive compared to the PBK doll so I don't mind if he gets a little dirty. Here's a link:

They also make other versions but I preferred this one to the others.

HTH,
Kathy

I don't know if you want a doll that looks like a little boy or a baby, but I bought Conner the Garnet Hill Ami doll for Christmas when they were having that big $50 special promotion that was going on. He really likes it since it is so soft and plush.

I don't have any experience with finding a boy doll
yet. But I did remember reading this thread a few
months back. It may be helpful. :)

Have youo seen the Corolle dolls. They have some cute boy ones and the eyes open and close. I really like the Tidoo ones. In our local toy store they have a Tidoo boy doll with a red outfit on. I didn't see it on Corolle's website though
