I know that this has been discussed many times in the forum. I even did a search but wanted to find out something new which will cater to my DD's taste and likes. She loves books and swings. She wants to be outdoor all the time and the weather is not conducive for that. Could you please suggest something like an indoor swing. The little tikes swing with the castle is really small. She likes to swing high and far already:)
She loves to play with water. After reading some of the posts, I gave her a cup of water and opened the dishwasher tray and she puts her mouth in it:( Could you please review about this sand and water table which I saw at walmart.com

The LT swing is very small - if she likes to swing high, this won't work.

After talking to parents of older kids, I got a water table and a separate sand box. They all said the combined ones are a pain because you get sand in the water and water in the sand. You aren't supposed to leave the water in, so you have to empty it and it isn't as easy when there is sand in it. Also, once they are a little older, they want to sit in the sand and play, so you end up with a sandbox, too.

We got this one:

It has been plenty of fun for us - I keep it inside and take it out to use it, so I didn't need a cover. I was going to put beans in it for winter, but with a baby around I decided not to. I may re-think that in a month or two when it is slightly warmer and we can play on the porch, though.

I have too been trying to figure out what to get our DD who is turning one and I was going to buy the LT castle and swing until I read terrible review that they are better for babies than toddlers. The swing barely moves and their feet can drag the ground at a very early age.

I saw the LT table and it looked very small. I am thinking that water and sand in the same table is a no no for us. I can already see the two mixing and creating a terrible mess. DH and I are getting her the swing set from little tykes and my sister is getting her the cozy car. I like the one below because it has a peice that her feet can rest on and a handle for us to push until she gets the hang of it. The Sand box is still undecieded; I am telling grandparents the top needs to fit well, easy to climb in and out and good for our DD and a friend to play and maybe us too. The last is the watertable that our friends have and they love it and the kids do to. HTH...

I was thinking about some toys that are hits around our house and I wanted to suggest two for you. They are only inside toys but I wanted to share. OUr DD really loves her FP Laugh and learn Chair which is being recalled. FP sent us a repair kit and the new ones should already be fixed. It is her favorite toy...

I Thank you very much for your responses.
I ended up buying a full bucket swing just like the ones they use in the park because she didn't like the one with a rope. I have installed it in the basement and she doesn't care much for it though. She wanted to be outdoors and that it why she had liked the swing in the first place:)
klc92201: I like that step 2 water table. What is the second indoor toy which you have in the second post? I would like to know the name of the toy.
Thanks
Vidya

The little treehouse looking thing is a Weebles Treehouse. It is so cute and our DD got it for Chirstmas and she was 9 months old then. It is very sturdy and plays music as a reward for moving the parts. Plus you know the weebles theme song says Weebles Wobble but they don't fall down and it is true they dont. They have other Weeble playsets. Weebles are made by playskool. Also my niece loves the FP people but they are harder for my daughter because they do fall over...HTH

Heather,

Is your Weebles Treehouse painfully loud?

I haven't really let Zoe play with hers yet because it's so loud it hurts my ears when I'm across the room. I haven't been able to find a volume control - and I lost the instruction book in the madness that was Christmas at my in-laws.

I'm just wondering if I'm missing a volume switch, if they are all this loud, or if something is wrong with mine. I'm thinking if I can't turn it down I'm going to have to remove the batteries so I don't damage her hearing!

her treehouse isn't that loud where it hurts my ears. I will see if there is a volume switch, I don't remember seeing one.
