x-posted in decor: where can I find those safety mirrors they have in day care centers? DD LOVES looking in the mirror, and DH thought it would be nice to install one in her room at baby level. I didn't think a regular mirror was going to work with the sharp edges and all. Any suggestions are appreciated!!!

TIA!

We just got this mirror from IKEA:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15567&catalogId=10103&storeId=12&productId=53125&langId=-1&parentCats=15567*16111*16158

The mirror itself is plastic and there are holes top and bottom to mount to a wall. We have it attachted to the superyard with zip ties. It is pretty big, so they can see themselves even when sitting up in front of it.

Go to ebay and search for "acrylic mirror" or "plexiglass mirror" and you will find a lot of cheap options. I think that's the cheapest you'll find. They may have cut edgest, but I'm sure you could use duck tape and some fleece or batting to cushion them for a few bucks.

Thanks for the replies! The acrylic ones are a bit more expensive than I had thought; we have to do a little comparison shopping!
