I bought this for our DD for her 1st birthday. I was thinking about getting her a full sized wooden one but when we went to try them out it was too advanced. I wanted something she can play with now and in the store Sara was very interested in it.

I was wondering if anyone has heard good or bad things about this play area. I haven't picked it up yet...

We have it and love it. We bought it for Jackson when he was 1 1/2. We are planning on getting a large wood one down the road but I felt that this was a good safe option until then.

It does fade like all other Little Tikes stuff but that is to be expected.

I am glad your DS likes it. I was looking at this swing set just this week, to buy for my DD's first birthday. I thought it was a reasonable price and a good starter swing set.

Traci~Did you buy it? I had a hard time finding it. Toysrus said that the toy companies have a hard time restocking it because of the demand from Chirstmas. Then everyone wants one when it starts to get warm and here in Texas it is almost that time. So I went a head and put my name on the raincheck list so someone would call me when they got more instock. When she scanned the ticket it showed that they had gotten one in that day. Good thing because I called three or four different places and they were out of stock...

we are in Texas too!

No I actually haven't seen it in person, only online. Does Toys R Us have one on display? I was going to go and look today and see what play stuff that had. My DH wants to look at everything before we decide...but I kinda felt like for DD's age (one in april) this would be the best one. I really want one with a swing because our neighborhood doesn't have infant swings. :(

Oh, one thing to consider--if the swing set you have does not come with an bucket swing, you can just get a LT one and put it on in place. We got the LT Playcenter Playground which had normal swings and a glider and we just replaced the swings with the bucket swings for now. We got it when Kaya was around 14-15 months, I think. And no, she wasn't using any part except the swings at first, but now at almost two, she's able to use the slide, and with our help, she's learning the rope wall/ladder thing and she can also ride the glider.

Traci~Where are you in texas I am in the Dallas Area. I took my DD to playgroup today and they had one of these at their house. She has a three year old and a 18 month old; they bought it when he was one and it still looks great. Plus the kids had a great time on it...

My neighbor has a very similar one and every kid in the neighborhood loves it, from the littlest ones to the big kids!
