Based on your experience if you could do it over, what would you buy and which would you not buy?

I'd skip the little tykes small sets and go straight to a full-size set. The little tykes sets have such a short lifetime and are so expensive given that. We put in a full-size set when ds was 2yo and were much happier with that.

Agreed! We did get one with a swing set, but otherwise, we went for the full-size and skipped the smaller ones. Yes, it's true that there are things that Kaya can't do on it yet, but it's going to last much longer and with our assistance, she can actually use most of it right now. We put it in at the beginning of summer when Kaya was just over a year old and I'm glad we decided to do that.
