Any feedback on the Like-A-Bike (and other similar 2-wheeled wooden bikes)?

I'm thinking of having my mom get this for DS for his 3rd birthday. I've read the old threads but I was curious if anyone had bought one within the past few months or had any feedback on the ones they had? I'd prefer a less expensive one (in the $100 range) in case it isn't a hit...but would be open if there was a good reason to get the more $$ one.

I'm interested in this also. My DD will be 3 1/2 this spring and I want her Kettler for younger DS!
