View Full Version : Company Kids Stroller Cozy measurements? UPDATE 2

After reading all the past posts on the Company Store Stroller Cozy (like the Bundle Me) I decided to go ahead and order one since everyone said it was bigger than the Bundle Me Big (I think someone posted a picture of their 3 year old in it). I got it on sale and it arrived yesterday. But I was surprised when I took it out of the package and it looked so small, so I brought out the infant-sized Bundle Me I bought at Target a few weeks ago and put them side-by-side and they were the same size! Both are 26" long and definately not even close to fitting a toddler. I looked on my packing slip and it specifically says "stroller cozy" but do you think they sent me the infant carseat one instead? Does anyone have a stroller cozy that they can measure so I can determine if they sent me the wrong one? I was looking forward to putting it on my stroller, but now I can't. TIA.

I bought it for my grandson last year and it is definitly huge. I almost think too big. I don't have the measurments since they are not here but it sounds like it was mismarked.

I was wondering about the measurements myself today, since I was *just* about to order one when I saw your post. I called and asked and was told that the Stroller Cozy measurements are 17.5" wide x 30" long x 4.5" deep. The CSR said the size on it is considered 0-24 months. It sounds like they may have shipped you the wrong item, but even 4" longer doesn't seem like it would be a huge difference.

That's weird-- I just remeasured mine and mine is 21" wide. I flipped it over and the bottom piece is actually 28" long while the top part is 26" long...hmmmm. I'm hoping someone else jumps in who actually has one themselves and can give measurements. Do you think they redesigned them since last year?

I have one that I got on clearance last year and I measured it using my DH's metal tape so this is not terribly accurate.

From the bottom of the foot to the top of the piece that has the holes for the shoulder straps is at least 32 inches. It's about 21 inches wide. There is another piece about 10 inches long that's attached to the top of the piece that has the slots for the straps in it - that piece has velcro on it to attach to the stroller.

The front piece, from the foot to the top of the zipper, is about 31 inches.

I use it on an MBUS and kind of fudge around so that that top piece is like a spot for DD's head. She's 37 inches at 2 years and when we used it yesterday she was comfy - covered up to her shoulders and had some room still for her feet.

Sounds like they may have changed the sizing since last year. Boo.

Best,
Mary

Ok, they either completely redid the stroller cozy since last year or I have the carseat cozy. The one I was sent is EXACTLY like the infant sized Bundle Me. No where on mine is there any velcro at all and mine is only two pieces-- the bottom part where the straps go through and the top part that zips on and acts like a blanket. I think I'll call them tomorrow and ask them what is up. Here's a comparison of the "stroller cozy" I was sent, next to the infant Bundle me.

Infant Bundle Me on left, "Stroller Cozy" on right

I think they sent you the wrong thing. Mine definitely has an extra piece sewn on to the back piece (above where you'd thread the straps through the stroller) that has velcro on it.

I think for a "normal" stroller (P3 etc.) it would be obvious what to do with this extra piece but with the MB, since it's all tubing and canvas snaps anyway, I just sort of fudge it. The strap holes line up in the right spot though.

Good luck! I hope they resolve it to your satisfaction. I've had some issues with their CS in the past but I've found that if I insist, they come around.

Ok, it looks like they did send me the carseat cozy by mistake. I called them this morning and they are sending me a prepaid label to ship it back to them and they will exchange it for the stroller cozy. I was looking on the Company Kids website last night and I definately have the carseat cozy since I can tell by the pictures that the stroller cozy is way different with that extra piece of fabric that goes behind the child's head.

Then I was looking online and came across this stroller bunting that looks so incredibly warm and is for ages 2-4 years. It's lined with 100% Australian lambswool.

Can you please update when you get the new one? I got two of them about a month ago and I can't decide if I have the car cozy or the stroller cozy. I am getting the prepaid return shipping label sent to me but I am not convinced that I have the wrong thing. There's no velcro piece on mine but the measurements seem to be correct for the stroller cozy according to customer service (30 inches long for the back piece).

Anyway, I would love to know if they ship you something different the second time around!

Thanks!

I'll definately post an update when I get the new one. I received my prepaid label and put the "car cozy" in the mail yesterday, so after they receive it they'll send me the correct one (I hope).

basically the major difference to look for is that the car cozy has a large piece of elastic going across the back and there are 2 two way zippers (24") for the bottom. The stroller cozy does not have the elastic in the back and has only 1 two way zipper (66") for the bottom.

I copied this from a post on SWAP:
Stroller Cozy
Fits from 0-24 months: 17 ½" W X 30"L X 4 ½"D
Front Piece - 17 ½"W X 30" Long
Back Piece - 17 ½"W X 30" Long
Gusset for Depth - 4 ½" W X 74" Long
Top Back Extension - 13"W X 10 ½" Long

Stroller Cozy: On the back there are 8 opening for various straps:
There are 2 options for openings on the top for shoulder straps.
There are 2 openings in the middle for straps to go around the
waist. There are 2 options for openings on the bottom for the strap
to go between legs. A two-way separating zipper (66" L) goes all the
way around for easy access. Velcro is sewn on the sides of the top
back extension for attaching over the top of the back of the
stroller.

Car Cozy:
Fits 0-24 months.
Front piece - 21" W X 26"L
Back Piece - 21"W X 20" L
Gusset for Depth - 21"W X 14" L The gusset is only in the foot
area for room.

Car Cozy: On the back there are 5 openings for various straps: There
is 1 - 7" wide horizontal opening on the top for shoulder straps.
There are 2 - 9" wide vertical openings in the middle for waist
straps. There are 2 - 5" Wide horizontal openings on bottom for
strap between legs. There are 2 molded separating zippers (24" long
each) for easy access. 1 piece of elastic (1" wide x 14 ½" Long)
goes around back of car seat. Car cozy can safely be secured to car
seats, strollers or joggers.

Thanks for posting these dimensions. You just confirmed that they sent me the wrong item as well. Mine is also identical in size to the infant Bundle Me, and has the elastic piece on the back. It just arrived today and I was excited until I opened it up and realized it's the wrong one.

Arrgh. Off to call the Company Store.

UGH.....I returned the wrong "stroller cozy" that they had sent me before and they just sent me back the EXACT same thing-- the carseat cozy!!!!!!! It's the same Bundle Me sized bunting with the elastic strap on the back! What I don't get though is that it came in a sealed bag that was clearly marked "HBO4 Fleece Stroller Cozy." So is all their stock just labeled wrong? On the Company Kids website, both the fleece stroller cozy and the fleece carseat cozy have the same HBO4 code, but one is the carseat cozy and one is the stroller cozy. Do I even try again or should I just ask for a refund and find another bunting from somewhere else. At this rate, but the time I get a big enough stroller bunting, winter is going to be over!

Daniele-- did they ever send you the right one?

Latia or Daniele or anyone else, what you do is buy a stroller cosy from me instead! Seriously, I have two navy blue stroller cosy's (footmuffs) that will easily fit a 2 year old, one solid navy and one with an orange bunny. I used and loved an identical one in a different color, and I've been selling all my extra footmuffs. See attached photo of my plaid one (DD is 2 years and 3 months in the photo, and she's tall) to see what the solid navy one looks like. PM me if you want to know more.

Well, from what I've read on the StrollerSwap board, this has been a problem for several people. The Company Store is now out of the fleece stroller cozys. It seems that they have a few sherpa ones left.

I decided to give up and sent back my fleece car cozys. My unopened one was clearly marked "stroller cozy" as well.

Maybe next year. Sorry!

Latia - Nope, they sent me ANOTHER carseat cozy, despite 3 phone calls and a note on my order. Their stock is marked wrong, and no one seems to want to listen. There were at least 10 people on Stroller Swap who had the same problem and all called to complain and re-order and very few got the problem resolved. I called yesterday again when I got the second carseat cozy and at first I talked to a very helpful person who put me on hold to talk to the warehouse. Then some other moron picked up who knew nothing about my conversation with the first CSR (whose name I didn't catch, aaack!) and told me there was no way he could talk to the warehouse and he'd have to do yet another order. They were showing 4 still in stock, but he couldn't verify if they were right or if they were even there. I am just waiting for a call to tell me if they don't have it. I have no hope of getting the right item anymore.

Their customer service is seriously flawed. It's the pits. I have the 2 wrong items in the trunk of my car packed to go back today. I don't plan to ever order anything from them again. I'm totally disgusted with the Company Store now.

I called last week (3/1) after reading these posts. I spoke with a guy who sounded very helpful - he told me that he remembered an email sent out around the company about this issue, and told me he'd send a label for free return shipping and they would send out the new stroller cozy right away. He also said he would add a note for the warehouse to check the item before shipping it, but he thought that they had all been mis-labeled (stroller cozys labeled as car seat and vice versa) by the manufacturer, but it had all been straightened out. I was really impressed with the service, especially when he told me they would ship the new cozy right away without charging me and then crediting me when they received the return.

Fast forward to this week. I still have received nothing, not even the return label. I called yesterday, and the girl I spoke with was completely clueless. She says the label is sent from Wisconsin (I am in GA), so it might take 2 weeks (via mail? or are they walking it across the country?) and they were planning on sending the new one when they get my return. I told her that was unacceptable, since I don't even know if it will even be cold enough at this point to even use the thing (it was cold last week though), but all I could get was for them to charge me and then credit me for the return. She told me that the would, however, not charge me for shipping again (gee, thanks, since it was their screwup!) I asked her if the problem had been corrected and she had no idea, told me that the items are all picked electronically in the warehouse so probably no one would check it before they sent it.

The more I think about this, the angrier I get. This is not the first time this season that I have had major problems with them. I still have a pair of pillowcases that I ordered in January that are on backorder until April. When I ordered them, they were in stock, then they were backordered until February, then they sent part of my order, charged me for the cases, but didn't put them in the box. When I called, they said they had run out. So basically, they ran out but the warehouse pretended that they shipped them - like I wouldn't notice?

The only thing is, this was only $15 with a coupon. But if I can't get it this next round, I guess I'll give up.

I'm done trying to get the right product as well. I'm just going to send it back and get a refund. It's so weird though-- I've never had a problem with The Company Store or Company Kids before. All of the down comforters in my house are from them (we have 3) and I also have bought crib bedding from them as well and have never had a single problem.

I apparently posted in haste yesterday, because, to my surprise, the Company Store came through! I just got home and on my doorstep was Company Store package, a box this time, shipped overnight. When I opened it, I found a navy fleece stroller cozy!!

Oh good, maybe they'll come through for me as well. I called them back again yesterday and decided to try one more time to get things straightened out. They put in another order for a navy fleece cozy and a note to have a manager hand pick it from the wharehouse. I then went on to the swap boards to read all the stories on there. It looks like ALL the fleece carseat cozy's were labeled as stroller cozy's but that the SHERPA stroller cozy's were correctly labeled. Then someone on Swap said that they were completely sold out of everything even though the website still has everything listed as in stock. So I decided to take another chance and order a sherpa stroller cozy as well since no one has had any problems with those, and in case they send me another wrong fleece cozy maybe the sherpa one will be ok. So who knows what I'll end up with next week-- a fleece and sherpa stroller cozy, another carseat cozy, or a cancelled order if everything really is sold out. I'll update again next week. The saga continues........

Well, it looks like they finally have things straightened out - I got my fleece stroller cozy yesterday. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it looks much bigger and is definitely the right one (no elastic band in the back). I also see now that they have nylon ones available.

Yep, I got mine too! Yesterday actually. I received a grey fleece stroller cozy and it fits good. I had also ordered a natural colored sherpa one and I received an email yesterday saying it had shipped-- so who knows, maybe I'll end up with two! One for each stroller :). I do have a question though-- does the top piece actually zip off completely, leaving just the bottom part in the stroller? It has two zipper pulls, but it doesn't look like it zips all the way off like my infant bundle me did. The infant bundle me had two 2-way zippers and the stroller cozy just has one. Anyone know? I hope it comes off all the way.

Yes it does come all the way off. You have to un-zip the zipper that starts on the left(looking at the cozy) all the way to the right. It should completly separate and the top should come off. Hope that helps ;-)

(BTW, It took me two tries to get the right one finaly too )

Oh good, thanks! I'll have to get my stroller out of the car and play around with it sometime today. Oh, and I must have a pretty big kid because Conner's feet are already touching the end of the stroller cozy and I have it pulled down as far as it will go. He fits, but just barely with no room to grow. He's only 2 1/2 years old and is 38 inches tall. Hopefully it will last us until the weather warms up. We used it all day yesterday at the mall (outdoor mall) and he stayed nice and warm. :) Oh, and I still have a navy fleece carseat cozy and a natural sherpa stroller cozy sitting here that I don't know what to do with. I don't know if I should return them to the Company Store or sell them on Swap.

He must be long in the legs ;) My 3yo rider fits in it fine and she is about 37", but really long in the torso- I hope she will beable to us it next winter.
The stroller cozy would probably sell on Swap- but maybe not now with the weather warming up, but I am not sure about the carseat one, since so many don't use them, because of the safety issues.
If it helps at all, I sent all 4 of my wrong carseat cozies back, and got a refund pretty quickly.
