love, love, love PBK red retro kitchen!

I just had to post a rave about this set. I had never been that excited about this set in pink, but Mari LOVED to play with it every time we went to PBK, unlike the cheapo babystyle stove/frig we had which she never touched because the doors were too hard to open, etc.

I originally wanted one of the solid wood ones from like Willow Toys, etc. but DH is a amateur chef and really wanted something more realistic. So, when this set came out in red recently I was in love. I decided to get the full set plus the washer/dryer. It's just awesome! It arrived so quickly too. I ordered on Monday and it was here on Thursday.

The pieces all arrived put together. DH had to attach a few knobs and handles but nothing major. There are so many adorable little details on them.

Washer/dryer--has little signs to flip wet/dry, clean dirty, a little filter and soap dispenser. Timers that work.

Stove--has a working clock and timers. "gas" burners and grill.

Sink--stainless steel that you could fill with water if you wanted, moving faucet handles, towel bar, storage.

Frig--magnetic front, "thermostat"

Anyway, the set is so easy for Mari to open and use. She just loves it so much!

We are thrilled!

Wow, that is truly adorable! I don't see anything like it (or really any play kitchen) in our future, but it looks like a wonderful set! If we were to get one, I would love THIS one! :)

I've been meaning to ask if you bought this yet or not....It looks *adorable*. I'm so happy to see them come out w/ another gender-neutral kitchen and I really love the look of this one.

If/when DS's freebie one dies, I'd love to go this route. Sooo tempting for the other one to have an "accident" now involving a hacksaw or something ;)

Really beautiful Holli! I am just starting to think that we are going to have to get a new bigger play kitchen. Right now we have a small Step2, and there just isn't enough counter space for both Anna & Kieran. Please keep us posted on how you like it!

Have you seen the new kitchen they are offering at Target? It is great because it is so small and it is very competitive price wise. It looks really cool as well!

Wow, I have always loved this kitchen but never liked the pink color. This red kitchen is very unusual and I need to seriously re-think about building my own now. Thanks for posting this. Lucky, lucky Mari! :D
