I've seen them at toy stores, CVS, some grocery stores, and art/crafts supply stores. Yup, they tend to be non-toxic. :)

Don't feel bad. I bet they're one of those things that you see EVERYWHERE until you need them, then you can't find them ANYWHERE!!!

I really like the Crayola finger paint that comes in a tube so you just squirt it onto the paper. The kind that comes in a cup are a pain to scoop out when it starts getting low. My Target has the Crayola - in the art supply aisle (although it always seems to be hiding on a very low shelf and is kinda hard to find) It is non-toxic!

yer welcome, my dad sent my ds some paints for his 2nd birthday, and he loves them. we started with the crayola tubs, the tiny ones, they have about 18 colors and a brush. When I feel brave I let him paint, he has discovered that using his hands and fingers is great fun(and messy, too!)

have fun!

Classroom Direct has the best prices for Crayola fingerpaints, but you have to order $50 to get free shipping:

This is the link for one of the colors, you can find other colors through their search engine.

Target has them in the home office section near the crayons and stuff. Crayola has washable ones.

You can also make your own. Dissolve cornstarch in water, boil to thicken, add food coloring. Coot it down and then paint. Or use liquid starch and add a little regular washable tempera paint.

I used to be a preschool teacher, and I would buy my fingerpaints and other art supplies from discountschoolsupply.com.
The fingerpaints are very reasonable, and clean up VERY easily! Also, they carry large sheets of fingerpaint paper for a low price too.

Good luck!

When I babysat as a teen, I used to make my own out of vanilla pudding and food coloring. (That way if the kiddos ate it -- it wasn't big deal.)

Sigh! Kim, where do we find teen babysitters like you???? My on-weekend for a couple of hours teen babysitter perches DD on her knee and browses fashion magazines when she sits for us.

LOL! Probably because most teens aren't losers like I was. :) Babysitting and kids were all that I cared about. I went to all the classes at the hospitals, read books, etc. Even had a babysitting bag of goodies. I was very much a dork. (Well, really I still am!) Sure made my parents happy!
