Quick question: We have a Happy Navigator. Does anyone know whether the front wheel is supposed to turn as the steering wheel is turned?? We got this trike for my dd for Christmas and because of our lovely freezing cold weather she hasn't really used it yet. However, yesterday we were downstairs in our basement and she was riding it (or I was pushing her) and I noticed that the steering wheel does not "steer" the front wheel. I think I put it together wrong!! Any advice, opinions would be appreciated. TIA!

There are 2 'settings'. The setting you have it on disengages the handle bar from the wheels in order to let the parents do the 'steering' This is meant for younger children who are liable to swing the handlebars wildly and randomly from side to side and can't really steer yet. It is meant to be used with the pushbar.
The second setting is a regular bike setting with the child in control of the wheels via the handlebar.
Switch btw the settings by raising and lowering the black/gray plastic 'button' that's under the handlebars. HTH

I am embarrassed it has taken me so long to respond. I just haven't had the opportunity to try it out. Anyway, the handlebars do not move the front wheel, regardless of which position the navigation setting. I must have done something wrong when I assembled this thing. The handlebars are completely disattached from the front wheel. Does anyone have any experience with taking apart a Kettler??
