I am looking for a rocking horse that is unique and usable. I want one for my daughter and thought it might be a unique gift for my girlfriend who is having a baby.

I was thinking a wooden one that has safety features but is fun also. Anyone seen any lately. I have time to order so I'm not in a big rush.
Thanks
Jill

Well I remember seeing a lot of variety on Target's website at Christmas time. I can't speak to the quality but there was a wide range of brands mentioned including brio. I remember seeing some really interesting ones!
Good luck

Well, this is probably not at all what you want, but I'll post anyway just in case you'd consider a rocking Pooh on sale 1/2 price.
It's plush and it can be a rocker or a ride on for ages 1-3.

We are thinking of getting this one for our daughter for her first birthday. We tried it at the store, and my three year old can still ride on it comfortably!

Not exactly a rocking horse (it is a rocking moose), but DS loves it. He has had it since he was 1 year 3 months old, and he still rides on it now at 2.5 years old.
