We're getting ready to head to Cabo for our spring vacation - we'll be traveling with our 2.5 year old DS and our 6 week old DD. Obviously we have a ton of things that we need to bring with us, so we won't have a lot of room to bring books and toys. We'll be spending plenty of time at the pool, but wanted to know what others think are the best toys to bring on vacation (especially ones that don't take up a lot of room in our suitcase!

Thanks for the advice.

--Stacking cups (can go in the bathtub)
--Playsilks
--beach ball (flat in luggage)
--shaker eggs
--paperback books
--if the room will have a DVD player or you will be taking a portable one, DVDs
--matchbox cars
--washable crayons

Have a great vacation!

One additional suggestion is a deck of cards. My 2 year old played with them for hours on end on a recent vacation. Liked to look at each one, throw them, put them in a pile, etc.
