Can anyone suggest a good baby book?

I want to get a baby record book but it's so hard to find a good one!I just want something basic that covers the first year or so for remembering all the milestones. Thanks!

Not sure this is your style, I did a quick search and saw that you had inquired about baby animal and jungle theme bedding, but the My Flower Fairies Baby Book by Cicely Mary Barker is pretty basic compared to some I have seen. It just has her fancy art work throughout, and does have a very British slant to it (Mummy instead of Mommy, beaker instead of glass, etc). I think it would work well for a boy or girl if you are into fairies at all.

Have it and it is soooo beautiful and not at all tacky. Simple and elegant pages on the inside, beautiful fabric on the outside. Here's a link to some but I think there are more "colors" available; try googling for Molly West.

this isn't mine, but mine is similar (mine matches the bedroom linens that dd has) and i love the format. it is a calender with stickers and places for pictures and a little bit of writing. you put stickers on milestones (ie: first smile, finds hands, grandparents visit, 1 month, first tooth...) there are places for a photo for each month and things to write like: things that make you laugh, toys you love, etc. it also comes with an ink pad and every couple of months there is a spot to put baby's footprints.

I love the one that we have: Carter's "Lennon Real Love Memory Book/My Busy Days" Manufactured by C.R. Gibson. This covers the first 5 years, but it has a calendar that you can get in addition- "My First Year". I loved the calendar- very easy to jot notes and milestones for each month and it comes with stickers such as "rolls over", "smiles" etc.
