My DH saw a night light *somewhere* that sits in the middle of the room and projects stars (or something like stars) onto the ceiling and walls. I can't really find it anywhere, but that might also be because I don't know where to look. I promised DH that I would ask you ladies tonight if you knew what he was looking for.

I found this mobile, but I'm not really wanting the "mobile" part, and I don't really need/want the music either.

TIA!

DD has that turtle, and it is one of her most beloved toys!! I personally think it's one of the goofiest things she's received, but she really enjoys it.

We've been looking at that. The thing he saw looks like on of those "touch lights" things : flat on one side, with a dome on the other? I personally like the turtle a lot though...

Heather--Stella sleeps with the turtle every night, and is excited for it to get dark so we can check out the stars. She even knows to turn it off before she goes to sleep (that, or it turns off automatically).

I think your DC will enjoy it!

ETA! I just realized your babe is 2 months!! Congratulations! Stella got the turtle for her third birthday. Just FYI! I'm sure you still could use it now, though.

Not stars, but this may be what goodnightmoon saw. Is this what DH was talking about?

We have the one from Discovery Store. I am not crazy about it (got it as a gift for DS' 1st bday) but DS likes it a lot. For one, you have to wind it by hand, at which point it makes relatively loud sounds. And it the light is not too strong. It would work if you have a tall dresser. Was not so great on our average hight, waist level dresser. HTH!
