View Full Version : Which walker wagon?

I can't seem to find the ideal walker wagon I'm imagining in my head.

I know a lot of people love the Radio Flyer one, but I'm not terribly keen on something with such a big logo. But perhaps you all can convince me the clicker/resistance is worth it (although what's up with the recall??)

I've looked at the HABA ones, and I'm concerned about the one in the shape of the car (too tippy) and the others don't appeal to me aesthetically.

Ideally, I'd like something in a natual wood that looks like this:

But perhaps more folksy and less institutional (with wooden wheels, perhaps). Think Waldorfian. Can't seem to find anything like that online.

I'm queen of no logo and no commercialism in our toys, but the Radio Flyer one is just so not offensive to me for some reason. I guess it's because it's not one that is particularly abused, etc. The walker wagon just worked really well for us.

Hilde, we have the RF one and it is amazing with a truly unoffensive logo. DS will be 2 in late May and he still uses it all the time. He puts things into it and then pushes it around the first floor of our house, all the while with a huge smile on his face.

As for the recall, I have only very positive things to say about Radio Flyer's customer service. I emailed them once and immediately received the replacement clickers in the mail. I have to confess that despite being an extremely compulsive, protective, first-time Mamma, I didn't even bother to replace the parts because for US they posed no choking hazard.

Good luck with whichever wagon you choose!

Ikea makes one for $25.

Just an idea,

I would not have thought to check IKEA. That is cute in a funky kind of way!

Still considering the RF one, though.

Also, I bought this doll stroller as a gift for someone else and it has worked out great for them, so this is also something I'm considering:

I actually really wish that Nova Natural sold something like what I'm looking for...

Hi! Brio makes one that's similar to the IKEA one (although does feature a logo!).

What about this one? From Playstoretoys.com. We got the doll cradle/bed and wooden high chair from there for holiday gifts and could not have been happier with their service and shipping.

We had the Radio Flyer one and it was fine. Never a favorite of DD's so I have little opinion on it. She played with the IKEA one in the store and loved it, but by then she was a sturdy walker. I'm not sure if it might tip on a new walker.

Good luck!

Best,
Mary

I'm also a big fan of the RF and while I don't like logos, I find this one very non-offensive. I actually really like the looks of the wagon since it looks so classic. DD1 still uses it almost daily since we got it for her on her 1st bday.
