View Full Version : question on ikea easel
I finally was able to get one yesterday after a long wait -- it was out of stock for a long time in our local store. I picked up the last one in stock and was so excited. I remember reading that both sides were magnetic. But neither side was magnetic on the one I purchased. I went back to ikea website. I swear I read that it had said magnetic before and now it doesn't! I'm really disappointed now. Does anyone know if they change their product?
Thanks!

How very strange. Don't know if they changed it. We got ours last year, and only the whiteboard side is magnetic.

They did change it.
When it was out of stock, it wasn't even listed on the web site anymore. When it came back (maybe a month ago?), it was under new products.
Good to know what at least one change was...
Thanks for the replies. I called the store. I was first told that there were two different easels, one $19.99, the other $24.99. The more expensive one was the one that had both magnetic sides and was out of stock in our local store. Then she told me that the original easel that has magnetic on both sides was being discontinued. So get one if it's still available at your local store. Why can't they change it for the better, like putting a tray on the chalkboard side?

They've been out of stock here since before Christmas. (It was on DS's list, but no one bought it, then I realized it wasn't even available to buy anymore!)
