My DD has eczema and it is 10X worse in the winter, we have long one's here in Alaska. Lately she has been waking up with her skin just flaking off. I am on the search for a really great humidifier for her room. We have a vicks warm mist but it's just not cutting it. These are the two i have been looking at

They are a little pricey but i'm willing to pay if it helps her skin. I like these b/c you can control the level of the humidity and it has warm and cool mist. Does anyone have experience with either of these, or something different. Thanks!

We have a warm mist humidifier made by Holmes (www.holmesproducts.com). It has a tank that can hold a few gallons. It's fairly easy to clean if you use one of their products that gets added to the water. It has a humidity control and works great. It's definitely helps my DD's eczema.

I have the swiss air one (I think it's the first) and it's awesome!!! My daughter has asthma and it really helps her with the cough.

I definitely recommend it. I know it's pricey, but I've really found that you get what you pay for. I had a humifidier (Slant Fin) that lasted about 5 years, and I had bought it for about $80 5 years ago. I replaced it with a $50 humifidier recently and it broke within 3 months. Of course I took it back, and got the Swiss Air one, which I love.

Good luck!
