DS has a beloved "lovie" that is a small fleecy lion blanket. He chews and sucks on the corners and despite having 3 of the blankets in rotation and washing them frequently, the corners still smell!

I am hesitant to spray Oxiclean since I don't know how much chemical might remain after the wash. Any suggestions for what I can use to help make it less stinky?

Thanks!

You might try adding some vinegar to the wash. A long time ago I had a cat that would pee on things that were left on the floor (talk about incentive to clean up!). Cat pee is fairly potent, so clothing in close proximity to the peed-on item could get stinky. I discovered that vinegar would completely remove the smell. Amazing!

Definitely give it a try. Just add it with the laundry detergent. I'm not sure about quantity, but I was pretty liberal with it especially for stinky items. Maybe 1/2 cup or so??? Good luck getting a stink-free lovie!
