I've seen a few but am not sure what's worth it.

I know there's the inexpensive Neat Sheet, but I don't like that it's not machine washable. I know I could just buy several, but spot cleaning, as recommended, doesn't really work with my DC, IYKWIM.

This one sounds good, but I would like to hear if anyone has experience with it. I like that it's thicker than the Neat Sheet. Worth $40?

I'm just looking for something I can drag outside in the yard and then haul off to the beach if we want later on.

Thanks!

I have heard great things about the Tuffo blankets. They have more designs on their website:

Most of the moms in my playgroup have one. It is great for the park or the beach.

We got a Tuffo blanket last summer. It was on sale so we didn't pay $40. We really like it. It is very comfortable, rolls up neatly and cleans easily.

We keep this in one car and for our other car, we use an old, thin comforter. I've never used a neat sheet, so I can't comment on those.

I have a blanket called the About Town Fleece from Thirty One Gifts-it has handles and two outside pockets and can be monogrammed and washes up great. It was $32.00 plus the monogram and I have been very happy with it. This may not be appropriate but I was so happy with my blanket and bags that I decided to start selling their items so if interested just email me.
Not just plugging that blanket, I do have one that I bought at Target also, it just isn't quite as nice but it works fine!

I got the one from Bed Bath and Beyond for $20 (minus the 20% coupon). It's great. It's got a backpack material on the back to keep the blanket part from getting wet. It's not waterproof but it definitely keeps your tushie dry on wet grass at the park, sandfree at the beach.

Sure you can see it at thirtyonegifts.com and I will try to upload a picture-hope it does okay. If you are interested or would like a catalog just let me know!

Edited to add that the picture is not the greatest and it is the one on top that has a #10 on it and it shows it spread open as well-the blanket is 50"x60" and is $32.00(the monogramming is an additional)

wow.

Thanks for the quick responses. We're really anxious to enjoy more outside time and I'll definitely follow up on these suggestions!

I also have the Tuffo from Babystyle. We love it! I've used it at the park and also the beach and have had several people ask me where I got it because it's so neat. I love that it comes with a separate carry bag with pockets (I keep sunscreen in the pocket!)

We actually have one we got at Costco. It's like a giant towel.

We got one at Wal-Mart last year in the camping section for $10. It folds up and secures with clips and has a shoulder strap!

Eddie Bauer makes something similar. Got one from their outlet during promotion last year but haven't got the chance to try it out.

Regarding the neatsheet: I didn't know that it is not machine washable. I have washed mine at least 3 times! It did turn out ok, I guess. Otherwise I would have found out earlier than today!

Update:

I searched local B&M stores (Target, sports stores, etc.) and just went ahead and ordered a Tuffo (the photo is in my original post) at the strong recommendation of those on the board.

Well it's a hit. In fact, we're going outside after naptime to hang out in the yard again.

Thanks for the input!

I bought one today at Aldi for about $10. It is machine washable and zips up into its own case, and has a handle.

Unless something has changed in the last year, I still have the packaging for our Neat Sheet. It says:

Machine wash warm
NO DETERGENT
Bleach when needed
Machine dry low
Do not iron
Do not dry clean

That's strange. This is what I read on their Web site on the FAQ section:

Can I wash THE NEAT SHEET® Ground Cover?

We do not recommend that you wash THE NEAT SHEET® Ground Cover in the washing machine. You can hose it down or wipe with a damp cloth.

How do I dry THE NEAT SHEET® Ground Cover?

Air or line drying is recommended.

(That makes me want to get one to just have around. Maybe I will!)
