My daughter is 6 months old and just started food which means stinkier diapers (and I am told it will only get worse!). We have just been using a metal pail up till now but I think the time has come for a real diaper pail. From my reserach on these boards, it looks like the Champ and Neat systems get the highest marks for controlling odour, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with both of these with older kids (not breastfed newborns). Thanks!!

We've been using our Diaper Champ since day 1 and we're still going strong. DD is 22 months old and produces some mighty stinky diapers. Where we only had to empty once a week before solid food (formula diapers), we empty 2-3 times a week now. We put one of the "refrigerator" boxes of baking soda in the bottom of the champ and spray it with lysol when we empty. Not bad for $20.
