Can anyone recommend a really long-range monitor? I have the Sony Baby Call (9 channel/900mhz), which is great for around the house, but I can't even go to my mailbox without the "out of range" feature going off. We are even considering using walkie-talkie's to be able to go to outside at our next door neighbor's house. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We have friends who have range problems, their parents live across the street so they are back and forth a lot. When they are in the basement of their own home almost nothing works. They got multiple-unit cordless phones for Christmas that have a speakerphone intercom feature, and that works great! They leave one on in the baby's room and have great range across the street and in the basement.
