We have a bunch of those Lamaze plush toys that don't go in the washing machine. How do you surface clean your toys? I'd imagine a spray bottle and a cloth, but what sort of solution do you use?

I'm having trouble thinking of what would be effective, yet non-toxic...

TIA!

hey Jessica, Liv ended up throwing up on one of her lamaze toys and I just washed it under the sink, threw it in a pillow case and washed it on the gentle cycle. It came out good as new. I put it on top of the washer and then I turned the dehumidifier on and it dried in record time. HTH

I have machine washed a lot of plush toys that say "surface wash only". I figure if it is going to fall apart, I may as well know it sooner than later! I always put them in a mesh zipper bag and wash on delicate. I have even washed a Tickle Me Elmo (after removing the battery compartment, of course) I also machine wash sneakers that light up and they still work! No machine drying though!
