I'm looking for a push toy for my son who is 8 months old. He's been crawling for awhile and is now interested in trying to walk, the problem is the push toy we bought doesn't work well. Everytime he pushs it, it will go too fast and he falls. Or when he's done and tries to sit down the toy will fall backwards (thankfully I've been able to catch him). Have any of you guys had to the same problems? Have you found anything that works?

We like the RadioFlyer Classic Walker Wagon. It has a resist push feature which helps it from going to fast.

Does anyone know where to get the best price on this walker wagon? It looks perfect!

We've had good luck with the Parent's All Around the Block Wagon. (It's too heavy to push with all the blocks in it, but my DDs have been able to push it empty.) It can move fairly fast on tile/wood floors, but it's pretty slow on carpeting. http://tinyurl.com/mr556

FWIW, we also have a Fisher-Price walker ( http://tinyurl.com/lky6h ), but my older DD had problems similar to yours when using it. Once she got pretty good at walking behind the heavy wagon though, the lighter FP one became her favorite as she could push it faster.

We got ours at kidsurplus.com (57.99) but I think they are out of stock. You may want to post in the Bargains Forum to see whether someone (like Jo :-) ) knows of a better deal.

ETA: Just saw that you have already posted in the Bargains Forum :-)
