Okay, let's share some favorite books! What is a favorite book of yours and DC's that you didn't expect to become a favorite?

Ours is "Kitten's First Full Moon". Yea, great reviews and awards, but it just didn't pull me in at first. Not sure why because we love cats and full moons. :)

So, we got it out of the library, and we all just fell in love with it, and we ended up buying it.

Jackson's favorite book was "Cow Moo Me". We got it through a book club and it was just another book on his bookshelf. One day when he was about 8 months old he pulled it out and from that point on it was his favorite. He knew exactly where it was on the bookshelf and would pull it out and crawl over to me with it. I probably read that book 20 times a day for the next year. He still loves it. It got us through a very long night in the ER when nothing else would calm him down.

The book is well loved and taped up and the pictures are starting to fade from little hands rubbing on them. I can't bear to get rid of it and get a new one. Too many memories!

My 19 month old loves "Ollie," a cute little book about a gosling hatching. I bought it for DD1 at TJ Maxx, I think, years ago, and she liked it fine, but Heather LOVES it, and we read it every day. I do like the illustrations very much - it's a sweet little book. :)

Ours are the Spot books. I was never a fan but my mom gave Sophie a couple of them and she loves them. I think Spot Goes to the Park is my favorite because it's the first entire book she ever "read" to me. (lol)

We have so many! We have loved the Blue Kangaroo books for a long time. The stories & are great & they're very pretty illustrations. We also liked Corduroy's Easter & Christmas books (not the board books ones) for a long time. I don't know why; dd just loved them.

Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson

I just happen to pick this book up for DS while we were in TJ Maxx shopping. And it has become our favorite by far. It's a cute little story and has great illustrations. We have red this book so many times that DS knows it by heart and still loves it.

That is the same book that came to mind when I read your post title. We really enjoy reading Kitten's First Full Moon before bed, but I didn't expect to. It is not colorful or super emotional. Just a nice story, especially for bedtime. :-)
