I have a Haba toy that I bought not too long ago. It's two little penguins connected, with a string to pull. Ds was playing with it, he's all of 10 months old and not wild at all. I found the mouth, which is like a little wooden cone shaped piece on the floor, disconnected from the toy. TOTAL hazard!!! I can't find any contact info for Haba and want to know what I can do about this.

File a complaint with the CPSC. You can find a page for it on their website (www.cpsc.gov). Try the retailer you purchased it from to get contact info for HABA.

I'm sorry to hear about the dangerous toy--I'm glad you found the broken piece before your DS could get a hold of it.

To contact Haba, try this: http://www.haba.de/Contact.1213.0.html

Thanks for the link. The contact page comes up with an error.

Hmm, must be a session ID or some such thing--I swear it worked before, and brought up the contact form!

How about: http://www.haba.de/index.php?en&area=us
Then click on the "Contact" button.

Or if that doesn't work either, try just clicking on the US flag on the main haba.de page (left side, about halfway down) and navigate from there. :)

Edited to add: If all else fails, this is the e-mail address listed on the Contact page: <[email protected]>

<slaps forehead> I just checked and it's not a haba, but a detoa! Darnit! They didn't have the Haba I wanted in stock and I chose the detoa instead. I will contact them and let them know.

Thanks for the info.
