Hi,

does anyone have this easel? I am wanting to get the M&D easel but the Ikea is at such a great price! I'm mainly wanting to know if it's durable. thanks!

We have it and it seems sturdy, but we have only one child, 2.5, who's not particularly hard on things. We like it a lot and for the price you can't beat it.

Best,
Mary

We have one and it has held up well.

I was just looking at one at Ikea the other day! I was debating between it and the M&D one. I was going to get it, but it's no longer magnetic...at all. That's the one feature that I really needed too. I can live with it not being height-adjustable for the great price. However since neither are magnetic, I'm going to take another look at M&D and will probably get a separate magnetic dry erase board.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just being picky, but it's really tough to find one that's wooden, height adjustable, has magnetic chalk and dry erase boards and is under $60. I have yet to find that perfect one. Sigh.

Hi,
Just curious - what is the deal with the magnetic part? I do have the IKEA easel but haven't opened it yet.
Thanks for educating me :),

Our relatives gave DS some magnetic alphabets/numbers and animals. Our kitchen is cramped. There is no safe way for him to use them on the fridge. We do have patio space that we're not using. I was planning to get an easel mainly for outdoor use anyway. We still rent, so I much prefer getting paint and chalk on the patio rather than our carpeting and furniture.

Both sides of the IKEA easel used to be magnetic. I heard they were changing it, but I thought at least one side would still be magnetic.
