I don't think we have room for a toy kitchen, the train table takes up most of the available space. Is there a set-up where the stove/sink sit on a table, rather than bring a separate piece of furniture? This would allow DS to have pretend kitchen play using his train table. Any other thoughts?

Here are some:

This one is not a table top version but a traditional stand alone, but it looks really compact so it might work:

I didn't check all the other links, but I know that Melissa and Doug makes a tabletop stove. I got one on sale a couple months ago from Amazon and it's been waiting in the basement for Christmas.

Thank you. This is what I was looking for. I really would like to get a small stand alone piece if I can get it to fit, but if not I'll definitely get one of the stove tops you listed. I have to remember that I'll need to store a table top version, plus all the pots and food when not in use. A small compact kitchen might be a good option for storing all the accessories and DS does like to open and shut cabinets. I'm reorganising DS's space in the family room, so I'll see what can fit.

They had a few "my first kitchen" tabletop kitchens at my local Tuesday Morning. I didn't check the price, though.

We have this one. I got it for $6 at Ross or Marshall's. Thanks for the link. It didn't come in the box, so I always wondered who made it.
