FP Sounds and Lights monitor making whining noise! HELP! - UPDATE!

Our baby monitor recently starting making this ANNOYING whining noise. I tried switching frequencies, but it doesn't help. Is this a defect? Any suggestions? I can't think of anything in our house that is new and would be causing this.

UPDATE - I had to move the transmitter unit in DD's room to make room for a fan (we're trying to get her to sleep through DH getting up at 5am!) Suddenly, no more whining noise! Moving the receiver units didn't do squat. This seems to have done the trick :) Good thing I was out-bid on the Sony monitor on Ebay!!!

Ours did the same thing and we were never able to fix it. We ended buying a new monitor. We also didn't have any new electronics in the house so I'm not sure what happened. So annoying!!

Grrr! I was so hoping it was something easy to fix. Looks like it's new monitor time!

Any suggestions for a new one?

We have the same monitor but haven't used it much. However, I do remember someone somewhere telling me that the receiver is much noisier when run on the outlet than when on batteries. Maybe? HTH

We had the same problem with ours at first. We found that it made a BIG difference if we put it in another outlet in another area of the room. Maybe you can try that before having to go out and buy a new one!

Our had a lot of static. Funny thing is it was better if I turned it on it's side, but it still was annoying. We finally bought a Sony for DC #2 and love it. No static at all.
