There isn't a PBK anywhere near me and I am trying to decide between these two kitchens as a joint christmas present for the two kiddos.

Can anyone tell me the major differences between the two other than color and number of pieces? (we are considering the red retro and the metro)

TIA!

They are coming out with a new gourmet kitchen (stainless steel?) which is supposedly fabulous. You may want to wait to see that one!

They are clearancing the Metro sets in our store now ($119 per each piece, or at a slight discount if you buy all three) and I have seen them at the PB outlet. Quite a few have popped up on ebay, so you might want to check those prices if you decide on this set. Might be a good chance to pick it up a lot cheaper!

Does anyone know what they cost (per piece or as a set) at the outlets? If I call the one near us will they tell me if they have them? I have never shopped at an pb outlet before.

And do they need to be put together?

Thanks,

Jessica.

At my outlet today, they had the dishwasher and refrigerator marked at $150 w/ an additional 30%n off (they are running a sale right now on furniture). I have called the outlets before asking about specific items without any problems.

If one of them doesn't strike you as a "must have" over the other, then I'd get the Metro because it's a good price now. We do have the red retro, and I love it.

Does anyone have any pictures of the ones on sale?

Thanks,

Jessica.

My problem is that I like the Retro because of it being three separate pieces but I like the Metro color scheme better. I am afraid that the red Retro might be "too red?"

It's a really pretty red but it is definitely red. We have it in a large multi-purpose room and it does not seem too overwhelming. Then again, I'm very much in a "red" stage for some reason. We have a red couch too! :)

Do you know when this is coming out? I think that I am deciding against the Metro in favor of the red Retro or the stainless but I do need if for Christmas.

I love red too and debated FOREVER about getting a red couch! (only the white dog and yellow cat made me change my mind!)
