I just opened a Thomas DVD that was bundled with a train. It is a new release, I think something like On Site with Thomas and it came with some red bulldozer. Anyways, I opened it up and saw the little fliers that came with it. One was for Mister Rogers Neighborhood DVDs that are bundled with a train or what looks like some train. I can't tell if it's a wooden one and if it's compatible with Thomas sets since I haven't seen these in stores. Does anyone have one of these? Are the videos any good and are the trains that they come with nice quality? I sorta liked the sound of the bundle since I grew up with Mister Rogers and I think the trains are cute...especially since they are part of the Mister Rogers show.

Here are what some of them look like:

I can't help you, but thanks for posting about these. They are too cute! I am going to tell the grandparents about these for Christmas! I love Mr. Roger's and I am glad that he is on DVD.

We have the last two DVDs. We got them at Costco about 2 years ago. The cars are wooden (I think) and are compatible with Thomas/Brio track.

Mr. Rogers and Reading Rainbow are the two shows that we tape every day for DD. She loves them.

Each DVD has 2 episodes. We use these for travel. Mr Rogers, I'm afraid, is a crucial element in our bedtime ritual, even when we are away from home. As a result, I have seen these 4 episodes MANY, MANY, MANY times...

We also have the last 2 DVDs. The cars are wooden and are compatible with Thomas track. The quality of the trains are okay. They do chip and quality is comparable to that of generic wooden trains.

Mr. Rogers is also part of our bedtime routine and we also tape them off PBS. And I thought we were the only ones watching Mr. Rogers. :)

That is too funny! When DD is really tired she says "I think its time for Mr. Rogers." :)
