Does anyone know of any cool or funky stickies for the bottom of the bathtub to make it less slippery? The ones I have seen are all terrible. I am also looking for a cool faucet cover if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks.

Not cool or particularly fun but we got a white "bubble mat" thing from One Step Ahead that has been great. It's really soft, fits well and easily, and also comes out easily for cleaning.

Good luck!

Best,
Mary

It's not very groovy, but I was at the Right Start today, and they carry a really big clear bathmat insert.

While I was at TRStart, I bought a bathtub toy storage thingie in the shape of a frog. I noticed that the same company makes a really cool tub spout cover, which I now covet:

It's the item named "flo." It has lots of cool features.

This (or something like this) is what we had.

I also saw a Hippo one on Amazon.com when I did the search.

I don't think they are particularly unique, but I got a cute fish spout cover at BRU. For non skid mats we use a typical clear one from Target, plus some frog and fish shaped ones (about the size of an adult hand) to go in the corners and fill in spots. I got those at Target too.

I just got a clear tub mat from LNT. I found it works best because DD doesn't notice it much and leaves it alone.
I started with the cute blue fish suction grippers from Target, but she had too much fun pulling them up and playing with them, so now we just use them as bath toys :)
As for the spout cover, by tubs faucet is too close to the temp. controls to use a normal cover so I had to get one of the imflatable ones from BRU. It did the job, but DH ended up popping it one day. For $2.97 it was still worth it, I just need to get another one soon.

I found some duckie bath appliques at Bed Bath and Beyond. DS liked them so much that he wanted to take his nap in the tub with the duckies! Here's the website of the manufacturer. They have lots of really cute designs. http://www.wrapables.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=C43096&cate3=020201

I had a childproofing company come over to do a safety evaluation. I ended up not childproofing the tub, but this is what they recommended:

Tub mat: Gator Grip
It's definitely cool looking!
The GatorGrip Bathtub Traction Mat provides a soft non-slip surface for any bathtub. The 1/4" thick mat is soft to provide the ultimate in safety and comfort. With its peel and stick adhesive application you will never have to remove it and clean underneath. The adhesive seals out mold and mildew to provide a clean, hygienic bathtub mat for all ages. When you are ready to replace your Traction Mat, simply lift up the corner and pull slowly. The high tech polymer adhesive releases cleanly with no remaining residue to clean.

I don't know what it's made of. Some of those other things are PVC and I didn't like the idea of having PVC in DD's bathtub.

Spout cover: Tubbly Bubbly
Elephant, Hippo, Other(?)

We use the Tubbly Bubbly elephant and it does the job. DD likes to play with it, but I think she would play with anything! I like that the design does not allow water to collect in the elephant - and though we haven't used the feature, you can pour bubble bath into the elephant's trunk :) pretty cute! Our tub spout is the kind that the Tubbly Bubbly says it can't be used with, but we've had no problems. HTH
