I work from home so my daughter is always wanting to play "work". Sometimes I'm on my work computer and DH is checking things on the personal computer and DD wants to "work" too.
I remembered we had an electric typewriter in the attic so DH got it out and DD immediately figured out how to turn it on, load the paper, and type. She loves it. She sits down to "work" throughout the day. :) She has an old computer mouse next to it that she is hopeful will do something for her.
I admit that I'm "old school" and the only thing DD has used our computer for was typing in MS Word and she loved picking things up off the printer for us. So, this combines the two things she loves. :)
I actually wish it were a manual one because I think she would love seeing the keys, etc.
