Has anyone got any experience with this hook on fabric style portable chair? I am headed to Europe with my 10 month old for a 6 week backpacker style trip and thought it might come in handy. They seem to be available only in the UK, so if anyone knows of anything similar that is available in North America (and perhaps a little cheaper), please let me know! Many thnaks.

I'm contemplating getting a similar product..

looks like the sit n secure from OSA

I think they're also called high chair harnesses or something like that.

If you're crafty, you can even sew your own.

I bought the Sit N Secure (like the pp mentioned) to use for my ds at about that age--no, probably younger than that. I thought it worked pretty well. Not a perfect option, but it was a good way to secure him to a chair (or a shopping cart, etc) without having anything bulky and it works with just about any chair.
