We just bought a swing set (finally!) and it's coming next week, so we need to prepare the bed... we're thinking of the tiny round pea gravel edged with 4x4x8 landscape timbers - they're either pine (which they said might need to be replaced in a few years due to rot) or pressure-treated (which has chemicals in it...)
Is there something else to hold in the gravel? Would you go with pressure-treated (same material as on decks... which we're always barefoot on...) or would you go with pine and replace it every few years? We saw some plastic edging, but it wasn't deep enough to accommodate 3-4" of pea gravel.
thanks!
