Don't know how old your DS is but here's one

http://www.discountschoolsupply.com/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?product=16578&category=-1&mlc=

Electronic farm set includes 25"W x 13"H farm, family of four, 9 farm animals, tractor with baler, truck and oodles of farm equipment. Farm features 4 different animals sounds - dog, rooster, cow and horse. Set requires 2 "AA" batteries, not included. Ages 3 years and up.

I've ordered several things from Discount School Supply and been pleased.

We have the FP Little People Farm. DS seems to like it and there are lots of add on pieces.

We have the John Deere farm (available at Target and other places) and DS really likes it. It has the main farm and you can buy additional pieces of a dairy farm, apple orchard, sheep shearing shed, and combines, tractors, etc.

If you are close to an IKEA store, this one is cute.

Also, Playmobil has a couple -

One for 4 and up: http://tinyurl.com/ptl6a

And for smaller kids (1 and up), they have the simpler 1-2-3 line: http://tinyurl.com/ptl6a

Both sets have add ons available like tractors, horse and cart, more animals.

If you prefer wooden toys, Parents Magazine makes a wooden barn and animals, I saw it a few weeks ago at Tuesday Morning. http://store3-store.stores.yahoo.net/pamararobaya.html

My DD also really enjoys her Fisher Price farm set. The tractor and horse carts are the cutest things! She plays with this set daily.

again, i don't know how old dc is, but we LOVE playmobil here, charlie has been playing with them since he was 2, i just take the small parts and he gets the "guys" the vehicles & the buildings.

i just got him this safari set from target that was only $19.99 and it came with a huge hut w/porch, 2 people, a bunch of trees, mama giraffe, baby giraffe, mama elephant, baby elephant, zebra, snake, birds, jeep, possibly some other animals that i can't think of, an alligator i think. the playmobil sets are a little pricey, but target always has some that are cheaper, i don't know if they are a season behind, or if they are target exclusives, but we love them :)
