I'm considering the Sabrina large baskets from PBK. We have 2 Cameron bookshelves. I caught a glimpse of our living room from outside and i need to keep everything organized so it's pleasing to look at as well as functional.

I'd be looking for 10 Large Sabrina's! Or...am i better off w/ matching baskets from a place like Michaels, Joanne's, etc?

ETA: I just did a search and came across my own original post about wanting Sabrina knock offs. So i guess now my question is for those that own Sabrinas...are they worth that much extra $$ vs standard issue baskets at places such as BRU, Target, etc. I am going to check JCPenney.com though!

In my opinion YES YES YES! They are super nice quality, sturdy and look super cute with the liners. The ones at Target or Michaels just don't compare. If you are going to buy so many, maybe you could set up a registry and after the "event date" you can get 10% off anything from the registry. This is a sorta sneeky way of getting 10% off :)

We just bought a bunch of of similar baskets from Cost Plus Market yesterday. They were white and came with green Gingham or Pink Gingham liners. They had two sizes. The larger size fits perfectly into the Cameron cubbies and cost $15. They have smaller ones, they nest into the larger ones so they are smaller in diameter and height, not just height. They have the same liner choices and cost $10. The quality seems just fine to me. We bought 4 large and 4 small green ones for $100.

I have an alternative for you to consider. I have 3 Cameron 2 shelf bookcases along one wall in use in the kids playroom. While I have a couple of large Sabrina baskets in one of them, I also found these soft sided cubes that fit *perfectly* in the middle bookcase.

I was able to buy them individually in red, green and blue (they were in the laundry/closet system aisle?) but the fact that you can get 6 of them for about the same price as 2 of the sabrina baskets makes it a pretty good deal. They are very durable and tough. I don't know about your child, but mine love to make a mess just for the sake of making a mess. They will constantly be taking the basket covers off after dumping its contains. Many times I'll found myself tying the cover back on. With the cubes, I just throw and go. Just food for thought.

HTH!

I like the target idea! I noticed these on iKea.com:

I got the JCPenney ones and they are still working out well for us 18 months later. I had wanted the PBK ones with the gingham liner to match our nursery bedding from there, but I found the JCP ones with the same gingham liners.

I will say that ours don't get a ton of use, though, so I can't speak to durability. Ours are on shevles in DS's room and don't get daily abuse.
