The wagon is hard to steer. Is this normal?

DS got a RF wagon for his birthday. It is the plastic one with 2 "seats" and seatbelts.

The front wheels don't turn in unison and it is just hard to maneuver. I felt like I was fighting it on our walk around the block. I'm wondering if this is normal (ie my expectations were off) or maybe Grandpa put it together funny and DH needs to check over it.

Thoughts?

We just recently bought this wagon. The front wheels do turn independently, but except for backing up (I tried to back it down my parents' walkway instead of turning it around in the lawn) I haven't had trouble maneuvering it. I would check that the front wheels are on the correct side - there's a left wheel and a right wheel and if they were switched I bet it would be harder to use, and possibly more "tippy".

Good luck - we love our wagon and couldn't live without it after only a couple of weeks, so I hope you get it to work better!

Sarah :)
