I am loving the pottery barn table and chairs set for DD but it is soooo $$ (what isn't at PBK!). I saw these on overstock last night but it says they are seconds and could be cracked. Do you think it would be a bad idea and waste of $$??

I probably wouldn't because $90 to me is still a lot of money.

I wouldn't either. I wouldn't be happy with cracked chairs and it would be incredibly expensive to ship them back.

Yeah, you're right, plus they are not even returnable! I just love the look, but I don't think it's worth the risk. Thanks!

I have been shopping around for a table and chairs and I found a school supplier. Here are some similar chairs, much cheaper:

Thanks Pam, those are cute but also plastic which I'm not too keen on for my family room. However, I did pick up a toddler table/chair set at big lots the other day marked down to $25! It is very cute and for that price, works well. It's the light birchy colored wood with a small round table and 2 chairs. I don't think it is tall enough to last forever but for at least the next 1-2 years I think it will be great for DD and her future little brother to use in the family room for snacks, reading, coloring, etc. And for the price I cannot complain!

A little late for you, but for anyone else looking:

Their stuff is usually pretty nice, though I have never bought furniture from there.

I just realized that the chairs you posted about were 4 for $90, so considerably cheaper than the Room and Board ones. I saw the Room and Board ones IRL today and they are nice and seem well made, but maybe a little tippier than the more solid wooden chairs.
